Graduate Assistantships

The Department of Microbiology at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville anticipates graduate assistantships will be offered for admission for the fall class for PhD and MSc seeking students. The Department is a research active group with strengths including internationally known programs in microbial pathogenesis, virology, fungal biology, phycology, marine microbiology, microbial genomics and systems biology as well as microbial ecology. Positions are available for motivated students interested in employing state-of-the-art techniques in a dynamic research environment.

In the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, the city is a dynamic location that provides for a low cost – high quality of living for graduate students.
