Our research is focused on the mobile genetic elements in an abundant and biogeochemically relevant marine bacteria. Mobile genetic elements (e.g., plasmids, phages) are the primary drivers of bacterial adaptation. We investigate phage host interactions and examine the influence of plasmids on these interactions.
