Up to 10 Graduate Assistantships in Microbiology

The Department of Microbiology at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville anticipates that up to 10 graduate assistantships will be offered for admission for the fall 2018 class for PhD and MSc seeking students. The Department is a research active group including internationally known programs in viral, bacterial, and fungal signal transduction and pathogenesis, host-microbe interactions, aquatic and terrestrial microbial ecology, microbial genetics and genomics, bioinformatics and systems biology. Positions are available for motivated students interested in employing state-of-the-art techniques in a dynamic research environment.

In the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, the city is a dynamic location which provides for a low cost - high quality of living for graduate students.

The Department will begin accepting applications on October 1, 2017. All applications should be submitted electronically through the University of Tennessee Graduate College.
