Graduate Assistantships

The Department of Microbiology at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville anticipates that up to 10 graduate assistantships will be offered for admission for the fall 2017 class for PhD and MSc seeking students. The Department is a research active group with strengths including internationally known programs in microbial pathogenesis, virology, fungal biology, phycology, marine microbiology, microbial genomics and systems biology as well as microbial ecology. Positions are available for motivated students interested in employing state-of-the-art techniques in a dynamic research environment.

In the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, the city is a dynamic location which provides for a low cost - high quality of living for graduate students.

The Department is now accepting applications. All applications should be submitted electronically through the University of Tennessee Graduate College.
